In case you haven’t noticed, I have had a recurring theme in my artwork lately. The peace sign, most well known from the peace and love era in the 60s has been making its way into quite a few of my paintings. Why?

I think my subconscious is getting fed up with the way we are treating the earth, with the ongoing terrorist “war” which has been going on since before my son was born, with the hateful way a lot of people treat each other in social media and everyday life. We need more love and peace… it’s that simple.

We need to love our planet and care for her, as well as each other. Maybe I’m hoping that by hanging a reminder in their home with my art, a person will remember that each day and be a little more cognizant of their actions, slowly helping to make the world a better place.
