May-June works and Etsy store doing well!

I can’t believe it’s been two months since my last post. The Etsy store is doing very well – so much better for me than Fine Art America I’m sorry to say. What’s nice is that I was able to lower my print prices substantially since the commission I pay is lower.

Here’s a collage of some of my recent works in the past few months. I highly recommend you follow me/Like my page on FaceBook if you are interested in seeing more work-in-progress shots as well as GIVEAWAYS!

Sorry for the ugly copyright marks, but some people just don’t take a hint about using copyrighted works.

  1. Any advice for someone who is considering an etsy shop? Pros? Cons? Glad to hear yours is doing well! 🙂

  2. I don’t have any earth-shattering advice for making your shop work on Etsy. It’s a lot of hard work. You need to have good product photos or scans; good descriptions and titles containing keywords that you think will perform; a following of fans on your blog or other social media helps because you can get the initial word out as well as updates; and add items as often as possible. I think having a good inventory helps in that there is a better chance for each person who visits to find something they like. I’m still working on that part. Everything else is pretty standard — good product, priced right, good customer service, etc.
